Take advantage of this opportunity to see the latest innovative products from top industry suppliers at a convenient location close to you! ASI members can invite and escort clients to the Roadshow. Here are some important reminders:
Distributors can accompany their end-buyers onto the show floor. This creates a new opportunity for you, because as a part of that conversation, you can present your product lines, introduce new products and potentially sell more. However, we know that having end-buyers present requires some preparation. Please take note of the following guidelines:
- Business Cards: Do not distribute your business cards to end-buyers or leave on tables. Let the accompanying distributor be your main point of contact.
- Literature: Bring end-buyer friendly literature that does not contain your contact information. Don’t display sample order forms or special distributor-targeted collateral.
- Conversations: Discuss product lines, benefits, case studies and selling prices with end-buyers. Do not discuss company names, addresses or phone numbers, net pricing, pricing code definitions or selling direct.
- Direct Divisions: If you have a direct division, be sensitive to the relationships between the attending distributors and their end-buyers. These end-buyers have been personally invited – refrain from discussing your direct sales division with them.
Please note that accompanying end-buyers will wear yellow lanyards and generic badges, different than distributors, without their name or company information to make them easy for you to identify.
